West Palm Beach, FL ? For the sixth consecutive year, WSOP Circuit will call Palm Beach Kennel Club in West Palm Beach home from February 4th to the 15th. PBKC also held WSOPC events from September 17-28, 2015, making them one of only a few two-time stops on the circuit. This past September, WSOP Main Event runner-up, Joshua Beckley, won the $365 buy-in Monster Stack tournament and a gold ring in the opening event at PBKC. Beckley joins a long list of poker pros that have played circuit events at PBKC including Jerry Yang, Greg Raymer, Lee Childs, Chad Brown, Harrison Gimbel and more. Jerry Yang will be our special guest throughout the 2016 events.
?We are thrilled to bring the excitement of the World Series of Poker Circuit to PBKC and to West Palm Beach, Florida,? said PBKC Vice President Joe Rooney. "The tournaments have brought people to us from all over the country that hadn?t experienced this facility before, and many were first-time visitors to beautiful Palm Beach County,? he added.
PBKC was the first non-casino to earn the right to offer WSOP Circuit events and the only stop in the State of Florida beginning in February, 2011. Players can also enjoy cash game promotions, live and simulcast racing in addition to the exciting poker games. From 2011 through 2015, PBKC has been one of the most successful WSOP Circuit stops. Altogether, 31,921 players have participated in the events and winnings have reached in excess of $16.1 million.
The 12 Rings in 12 Days begins with a $365 buy-in Monster Stack on Thursday, February 4, then a $580 No Limit Hold?em event February 5-6 and the $1,675 buy-in Main Event Championship Feb. 12-13. Each WSOP Circuit stop Main Event winner will receive an automatic berth into the WSOP Circuit Global Casino Championship. Automatic bids will also go to the ?Casino Champion? at each participating venue. A Casino Champion is defined as the player at each stop who accumulates the most points throughout the 12-event gold ring schedule.
